My philosophy has always been to buy the best I could find, whether the coin in question is common or scarce. This approach has resulted in a wide range of coins for sale that are easy on the eye, as well as on the pocket.
Although primarily a commercial site, I do hope that the reference area will be of practical use, and that you will have as much fun exploring it as I am having building it! I don't suppose it'll ever be finished...
