1827 1d George IV copper Penny - a decent example of an Extremely Rare coin

The entire shipment of 1827 pennies ended up in Tasmania, perhaps by way of the West Indies.  The climate and long sea voyages in wooden crates resulted in the vast majority of remaining examples displaying the porosity you can see on this one.  

Not a great deal of actual wear though, as the Union Flag on the shield will testify.
